Terms & Conditions

 

1. Eligibility:
   - This opportunity is open to artists from all disciplines, including musicians, visual artists, performers, dancers, and others.
   - Artists must be based in Montreal or its surrounding areas.

 

2. Application Process:
   - By signing up for the waiting list, artists agree to provide accurate and complete information.
   - Venue opportunities will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis, and priority may be given to artists who have not yet used the service.

 

3. Venue Allocation:
   - Artists will be contacted when a venue matching their preferences becomes available.
   - The venue opportunities are free, but certain events or venues may have specific rules regarding equipment or performance content, which artists must respect.

 

4. Content and Conduct: 
   - Performances must adhere to the standards and policies of the venue in question.
   - Artists are responsible for ensuring their work does not infringe on copyrights or other intellectual property rights.
   - All performances must be respectful and inclusive. Discriminatory, offensive, or illegal content is strictly prohibited.

5. Cancellations and Changes:
   - If an artist is unable to attend their allocated time slot, they must notify the venue organizers as soon as possible. Failure to do so may result in removal from the waiting list.
   - Venues may change or cancel performances due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, the artist will be notified, and efforts will be made to reschedule.

 

6. Promotion:
   - Artists are encouraged to promote their performances through their social media channels and networks.
   - The venue or organizer may promote the artist’s event through its platforms but is not obliged to do so.

 

7. Liability:
   - Artists perform at their own risk. The venue and organizers are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged equipment or artwork.
   - Artists are responsible for any damage caused to the venue during their performance.

 

8. Use of Venue:
   - Free venues provided are solely for the purpose of artistic performances or exhibitions. They may not be used for other purposes without express permission from the venue.

 

9. Changes to Terms:
   - These terms may be updated periodically. Artists will be notified of any significant changes.
